Kim Kardashian contributes significant funds to families impacted by separation at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Kim Kardashian recently made headlines by pledging $50,000 at a Los Angeles fundraiser aimed at supporting families and children affected by immigration issues at the U.S.-Mexico border. The event, the 8th Annual Soiree for This Is About Humanity, attracted around 400 guests and was held on August 29.

Kardashian’s significant contribution came during the live auction, where she was the first to raise her paddle, prompting host Henry Winkler to commend her effort publicly. The funds will support This Is About Humanity, an organization that works with separated families and children at the border.

Kardashian attended the event not just as a celebrity but also in support of her childhood friend Zoe Winkler Reinis, one of the co-founders of the organization. The fundraiser featured high-profile attendees, gourmet cuisine, and meaningful narratives surrounding immigration issues. Attendees heard personal stories related to detention and deportation, emphasizing the event’s humanitarian focus.

Wilmer Valderrama was also honored with the Humanitarian Award for his advocacy work during the event and shared insights from his own immigrant background, stressing the importance of community support.

This Is About Humanity aims to provide essentials, legal assistance, and mental health services to those affected, partnering with various organizations to support its mission.
