Gant Travel Management has introduced an AI assistant to its self-service platform, Gant360. This feature enables travelers to search, book, and manage their business travel through conversational interactions. CEO Patrick Linnihan emphasized the platform’s goal: to provide a seamless travel experience while giving companies necessary control.
The Gant360 AI Assistant differs from traditional chatbots by actively taking action on behalf of travelers rather than just answering questions. Users can perform actions like booking flights, hotels, and rental cars, all while adhering to company travel policies and booking rules. The assistant incorporates the traveler’s profile and can facilitate roundtrip air bookings in under five minutes.
For travel managers, this means easier management of routine travel needs within the corporate travel framework. The AI Assistant enhances Gant360 without replacing existing self-service tools or human agents, allowing travelers to choose their preferred method of managing trips.
When interactions transition from the AI Assistant to a live agent, the conversation history is transferred, allowing for a smooth handover without requiring repeated information. Gant360 leverages GBTNetwork resources, connecting travelers to over 90 airlines and hotel rates worldwide, along with enhanced discounts and amenities.
