National Hispanic/Latine Heritage Month is celebrated from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, honoring the histories, cultures, achievements, and contributions of Hispanic and Latine communities in the U.S. It began as Hispanic Heritage Week in 1968 and was expanded to 30 days in 1988 by President Ronald Reagan.
