Bandai Namco Announces ‘Mask of Idris’ DLC for ‘Code Vein II’
Bandai Namco Entertainment Korea is set to launch the ‘Mask of Idris’ expansion DLC for the dramatic exploration action RPG ‘Code Vein II’ on September 9. This DLC will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
Overview of ‘Mask of Idris’
The new DLC transports players to the ‘Forsaken World,’ where the unresolved desires of individuals from erased worlds intersect. Players will embark on fresh explorations with a new character and face additional challenges.
Features and Unlocks
By completing the DLC storyline, players will unlock ‘Another Color’ versions for 14 Buddy characters, including Liv. These unlocked characters can be utilized after transferring save data and restarting the narrative.
Prerequisites:
Players must have a save file that has reached the second ending, ‘Luna Fraterna,’ and must progress through ‘Friend’s Request: Valentin’ to the quest ‘Exchange Opinions with Valentin: Book of Mag Mell Island.’
Free Update Ver. 2.0
Alongside the DLC, a free update titled Update Ver. 2.0 will be introduced. It features:
- Age of Harmony: Set in the post-ending period, allowing players to engage in character-specific episodes.
- New Blood Codes: Discover and explore with different Buddies.
- Trial of Remembrance: Boss rush content where players can face past bosses and earn over 90 themed customization parts.
Additional Enhancements
- Photo Mode: Over 30 new poses and 20+ photo frames added.
- Jukebox: Listen to selected tracks from ‘Code Vein,’ ‘Code Vein II,’ and the ‘God Eater’ series.
To build anticipation for the DLC, Bandai Namco has also unveiled a story recap trailer summarizing the main narrative of ‘Code Vein II.’
