Denys Shmyhal, Ukraine’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, recently met with an IMF mission led by Gavin Gray. The meeting focused on the energy sector’s situation and the need for reforms to enhance Ukraine’s energy resilience, particularly under martial law. Shmyhal highlighted ongoing efforts to update the Energy Strategy and improve energy legislation to align with European standards. He expressed gratitude for the IMF’s ongoing support for Ukraine’s financial stability and the collaboration aimed at building a sustainable energy sector. The IMF mission started its work in Kyiv on August 31.
