Fostering a ‘repair mindset’ at Reading Festival 2026

At the Reading Festival, the Reading Repairium offered a unique service where festivalgoers could have various items repaired for free, including boots and even dinosaur suits. This initiative, staffed by volunteers from repair cafes across Berkshire, aimed to promote sustainability among attendees. Donations received were directed to the Berkshire Youth charity. Ian Grange from the Wokingham Repair Cafe emphasized the importance of fostering a repair culture instead of the prevalent throwaway mentality.
