The Colorado Golf Association (CGA) and the Colorado Golf Foundation (CGF) have granted $119,750 to various programs aimed at improving youth access to golf across the state, benefiting over 39,000 young people in 2026. This funding supports initiatives focused on youth development, community engagement, and player education, showcasing a commitment to making golf accessible and impactful beyond the course.
Key projects receiving funding include caddie programs, junior player development, and partnerships with organizations like First Tee and Colorado PGA REACH. Nearly two-thirds of the funds went directly to community organizations, emphasizing the initiative’s broad reach.
CGA CEO Ed Mate highlighted the transformative potential of golf, stating that each grant is an investment in the future of the sport and in helping young individuals develop valuable life skills. The program aims to foster inclusivity, with 37% of youth served projected to be girls and nearly half under the age of 12, reaching diverse communities across Colorado.
