Lifetime free travel? UP cabinet greenlights new initiative for senior women.

The Lokmata Ahilyabai Matrushakti Yojana has been approved, allowing women aged 60 and older to travel for free on all Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) buses. This decision was announced by UP Transport Minister Daya Shankar Singh, indicating that over one crore women will benefit. Eligible women can present their Aadhaar or Voter ID cards to access the service. The initiative received approval during a Cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
