Campbell’s is set to introduce gluten-free Goldfish crackers, available nationwide starting in November. Made with a certified gluten-free flour blend and real cheese, these baked cheese crackers will not contain any artificial colors or preservatives. A 5-ounce bag will retail for approximately $4.99.
The decision to create this gluten-free option comes after numerous requests from consumers, as highlighted in various online and handwritten notes. According to reports, a gluten-free version has been the most requested snack from the company. A Goldfish executive expressed that this new product will allow more families to enjoy moments associated with the beloved snack.
Campbell’s is banking on this launch to boost its snacks division, which has seen declining sales recently. This move follows the earlier introduction of gluten-free Cheez-Its from a competitor. With around 30% of Americans seeking gluten-free products, Campbell’s is optimistic about the reception of its latest offering.
