Join us for the annual Sacred Heart Family Resource Centre (SHFRC) Family Fun Day! This exciting event is designed to bring families from the Sacred Heart area together for an afternoon filled with fun, healthy activities, and community connection.

Healthy Eating Stand:
Maria Chester, the Community Food & Nutrition Worker for Waterford, will lead a healthy eating stand featuring:
- Free healthy snack samples
- Live cooking demonstrations
- Recipe cards to take home
Maria emphasizes that this day is a fantastic opportunity for families to engage with healthy eating and local wellbeing supports in a relaxed environment.
Upcoming Programs:

Cook Along with Maria: Launching in September! A family-focused cooking project targeting families with primary school-aged children, especially those attending DEIS schools. Participants will receive free weekly food packs, recipe cards, and step-by-step guidance.

Growing Healthy Futures: An eight-week program supporting 10 families with a weekly supply of fresh, locally grown vegetables, along with recipes and nutrition tips. Participants are encouraged to share photos of their meals to promote engagement and idea-sharing.
