Superior HealthPlan and Centene Foundation Make $350,000 Investment to Help with Flood Relief in Texas
The investment helps five local organizations respond to historic flooding across the Hill Country and South-Central Texas
AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Superior HealthPlan and Centene Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC), have announced a significant investment aimed at assisting Texas communities in flood relief efforts following recent catastrophic flooding. This funding will benefit five organizations, including OneStar Foundation, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), and food banks, as families recover from severe rainfall, evacuations, infrastructure damage, and loss of life.

Recent disaster declarations cover 59 counties, with significant impacts noted in areas including Blanco, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr, and Uvalde Counties. The following organizations will receive funding to support recovery efforts:

OneStar Foundation: Funds will be directed to the Rebuild Texas Fund to provide urgent support and long-term recovery assistance.

San Antonio Food Bank & Central Texas Food Bank: These organizations will distribute food and emergency supplies to those facing displacement and food insecurity in affected counties.

Community Health Development, Inc. (CHDI) & Frontera Healthcare Network: These FQHCs will lead recovery efforts by providing health-related assistance and resources for impacted communities.
