Bowling Green, Ky. (WBKO) – A new initiative has been introduced to enhance the downtown area—a total of $40,000 has been allocated for the Downtown Improvement Grant (DIG Grant) to help local businesses and property owners upgrade their storefronts.

The city will reimburse businesses 50% of the costs for approved upgrades.

- Businesses must be located within specific downtown boundaries:
- Between Barren River and 13th Avenue
- Between Kentucky Street and Chestnut Street

- Enhancing wheelchair accessibility
