The former Vietnamese restaurant, Four Sisters, located at 8190 Strawberry Lane in the Mosaic District, has closed after 30 years in business. In its place, investment and financial advisory service Charles Schwab will be opening a new branch. Charles Schwab confirmed their plans, stating that the new location will provide a full range of financial services to investors.
Previously, there were intentions for Hawkers Asian Street Food to move into the space, but that plan has changed. Charles Schwab, which operates nearly 400 branches across the U.S., including nearby locations in Tysons and Reston, aims to expand its presence in markets where clients are actively engaging with financial services.
In other developments within the Mosaic District, Alta Strada has permanently closed its restaurant, making it the last location in the D.C. area after its Mount Vernon Square site was shuttered in late 2024. New establishments in the area include health food spot Pura Vida and The Tox, a body-sculpting spa. Additionally, Toimoi Bakery, a vendor at the FreshFarm’s year-round farmers market, plans to open a brick-and-mortar location in early 2027.
