On September 21, Luxshare Automotive and Infineon Technologies signed a partnership agreement and inaugurated their Innovation Application Center. This initiative aims to enhance collaboration in the rapidly evolving fields of electrification, intelligent vehicle systems, and software-defined vehicles.
The center will focus on joint innovation, reference design, and system-level validation to streamline the transition from concept to mass production, ultimately leading to safer, more efficient automotive electronics. Luxshare is shifting from a consumer electronics manufacturing focus to a technology group with automotive electronics as a key growth area. This collaboration with Infineon will bolster Luxshare’s capabilities in advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), intelligent cockpits, and intelligent chassis.
The center will standardize and systematize their existing cooperation, enhancing testing and validation processes for automotive components. With Luxshare’s precision manufacturing experience and Infineon’s semiconductor expertise, they aim to establish a structured collaboration mechanism to speed up innovation and commercialization.
The center will also improve Luxshare’s ability to deliver system-level solutions locally, enhancing project response and engineering support for industry partners. Focusing on automotive electronics technologies, the center has already facilitated mass production of a satellite radar using Infineon’s CTRX8188 chip and is now working on next-generation systems.
Ultimately, the Innovation Application Center serves as a platform for Luxshare to deepen its technological partnerships and support the development of China’s electric vehicle supply chain.
