Dorit Kemsley, star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has alleged that her estranged husband, PK Kemsley, is refusing to pay the mortgage on the home where she resides with their children. In response to what she calls his “manufactured” emergency, she is seeking legal recourse.

Dorit’s attorney, Samantha Spector, has filed court documents countering PK’s claims that she has been lavishly spending on designer clothing while neglecting mortgage payments. Instead, she asserts that PK has failed to uphold his financial obligations, including the mortgage and other expenses, which he had promised to cover in lieu of child support.

She became aware of the mortgage issues only after receiving foreclosure notices.

Financial Disputes

Dorit claims that PK, who earns approximately $2 million annually, has over $400,000 in his bank account but chose to disregard their financial agreement. She describes him as a “runaway” spender, despite his accusations that she is the one overspending.

PK reportedly outspended Dorit on personal expenses, amounting to $756,000 in a few months. His expenditures included $360,000 on travel, $55,000 on clothing, $75,000 on dining, and significant cash withdrawals and Venmo payments.

Dorit has requested the court to deny PK’s request for the immediate sale of their home, arguing that he should use his resources to settle the mortgage and avoid rendering their children homeless.

Child and Spousal Support

Dorit is also asking for $21,000 per month for child support and $22,000 per month for spousal support, along with $347,000 in retroactive payments. She seeks to impose sanctions of $40,000 on PK for his courtroom behavior.

In her defense, Dorit explained that her clothing purchases were necessary for her role on the show, totaling around $713,000 over 26 months for filming. She asserts that many of these charges were later refunded, emphasizing her commitment to fulfilling her financial responsibilities despite the ongoing tensions.

Dorit’s situation illustrates a complex financial landscape as both parties navigate their divorce, with accusations flying and a looming threat of foreclosure hovering over their family home.
