Vanguard has appointed Rachel Baxter as the Head of Investment Management for Europe. In this role, she will oversee various investment management functions, including portfolio management and trading, while leading the European fixed income indexing team. Vanguard’s European investment management team manages around $615 billion in assets.
Based in London, Rachel succeeds Geoff Parish, who will return to the U.S. as the global head of fixed income indexing. She has extensive experience in portfolio management, previously serving as co-head of the U.S. fixed income indexing team, overseeing over $1.4 trillion in assets.
Rachel has also held key roles in global fixed income strategy, portfolio construction, and European credit analysis. Jon Cleborne, Head of Vanguard Europe, praised her for her investment experience and leadership skills, emphasizing the importance of Europe and the UK in Vanguard’s global operations and future growth opportunities.
