Fort Wayne Metals to create 150 new positions following acquisition investment

Fort Wayne Metals, recently acquired by Axel Johnson Inc., is set to expand its operations in northeast Indiana, investing $18.5 million and creating 150 jobs. The company, a key supplier of precision materials to the medical device industry, has been a local employer for over 50 years. CEO Jeremy Rohrs emphasized the significance of this investment as a demonstration of confidence in Fort Wayne’s future. Axel Johnson’s acquisition was completed on July 1, with no financial details disclosed, following an earlier investment in 2021. Fort Wayne Metals currently employs over 1,400 staff, primarily in Fort Wayne, with additional locations in Columbia City and Ohio.
