PowerFlo Solutions to Invest $20 Million in West Virginia
WILLIAMSTOWN – Governor Patrick Morrisey recently announced a significant investment by the Washington County-based company, PowerFlo Solutions, to revitalize the old Hino Motors facility near Williamstown. This investment aims to bolster the data center industry by producing power distribution units critical for powering data centers, artificial intelligence, and advanced technologies.
During a press conference at the 240,000-square-foot site, Morrisey emphasized the importance of the investment, stating, “They’re going to be working on the critical electrical infrastructure that powers data centers.” The project is expected to create between 120 and 200 new jobs.
PowerFlo Solutions founder Jim Vuksic expressed his commitment to keeping jobs local, stating, “What we’re trying to do is just keep jobs here, so we don’t have to leave the area to go to work and support a family.”
The state facilitated this expansion by offering an additional 11-acre parcel at a discounted price to support future growth.
Matt Herridge, the Secretary of Commerce, noted the significance of the investment in generating new manufacturing and jobs: “Today is another exciting day for West Virginia.” Since October, the state has attracted approximately $13 billion in private sector investments aimed at creating over 14,600 jobs.
Morrisey also highlighted the importance of a strong supply chain for the data center industry, suggesting that more companies may follow in PowerFlo Solutions’ footsteps to support this burgeoning sector in West Virginia.
Lindsey Piersol, executive director of Wood County Economic Development, shared her excitement about the project, stating, “It’s always a great day when we can activate a vacant building and turn it into quality, well-paying manufacturing jobs.”
