SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — Going on vacation is exciting, but leaving your furry family members behind can be tough. A new service at Scottsdale Airport, RetrievAIR, allows you to travel with your canine companion.
Co-founder and CEO Benton Miller launched this pet-friendly air travel service to help dog owners avoid the stress of checking their pets in as cargo. “I didn’t have private jet money, so I wanted to figure it out and solve it for everybody,” said Miller.
Pets can either sit next to you or under the seat in front. The aircraft features 30 seats with “premium comfort” and first-class legroom. RetrievAIR currently offers flights to destinations like Atlanta, Dallas-Fort Worth, Fort Lauderdale, New York City, Tampa Bay, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. Passengers can book one-way or round-trip tickets.
