Couple Amazed as Embracing Full-Time RV Living in Europe Cuts Costs Significantly

Karen and Myles Davies, a couple from the U.K., made the bold decision to leave their corporate careers in 2016 and pursue a life of travel in a motorhome named “Scoobie.” Initially intended as a one-year break, their journey has continued for nearly a decade. They now live in their motorhome full-time, spending $2,000 to $2,700 a month while traveling across Europe, significantly less than their previous rent of $1,800.

Having traveled over 110,000 miles across 30 countries, they have found that this lifestyle not only reduced their living costs but also brought them fulfillment and happiness. Karen works as a writer and yoga teacher, while Myles manages their income through investments and rental property.

The experience has led them to a simpler, more meaningful life focused on genuine moments and deeper connections. Despite challenges such as navigating changing travel rules and crowded destinations, they have adapted their approach to travel, opting for a more leisurely pace.

Reflecting on their journey, Karen emphasizes the importance of making choices that enhance happiness, stating, “Life is too short to regret.”
