The two artists initially rose to fame together, collaborating on hits like “Lifestyle” and “Mamacita.” However, rumors of a rift began to surface in 2015 when Quan made comments regarding Thug’s sexuality, which he later regretted. Their relationship reportedly soured, leading to tension between them.
Following Quan’s death, Thug has publicly honored him, demonstrating respect for their past despite their issues. In response to Thug’s recent post, Rich Homie Dre, a close friend of Quan, commented “Pride & Ego,” implying that pride might have contributed to their falling out. Young Thug quickly refuted this, asserting his loyalty by stating, “No ngga on this earth goin’ tell u I switched up on them ngga.
