Consumers should check their medicine cabinets after a recall of popular moringa supplements potentially linked to a Salmonella outbreak. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that Total Nutrition Inc. voluntarily recalled certain lots of TNVitamins and Doctor’s Pride Ultra Potent Complete Green Superfood Moringa capsules. The products were sold through various online platforms, including the company’s own website.
The recall, first announced on May 26, was expanded on June 2 to include additional lots as investigations continue. The FDA confirmed that it is still investigating the matter and has reported at least 119 individuals affected, with 32 hospitalized.
Affected Products:
- TNVitamins: Ultra Potent Complete Green Superfood Moringa capsules (10,000 mg), Lot numbers: 2507199, 2512-304, 2793, 2748.
- Doctor’s Pride: Complete Green Superfood Ultra Potent Moringa (10,000 mg), Lot numbers: 2507199, 2748.
