The Division’s vision is to become “A University of Global Excellence in Research and Innovation for Sustainable Development,” aligned with the broader goals of the University. I aim to position Research, Production, and Extension (RPE) as a leading division with cutting-edge facilities and a team of experienced, motivated researchers and Research and Innovation Managers.
To enhance our research capabilities, we need to prioritize multidisciplinary and multi-institutional collaboration. Strengthening the connections between innovators, researchers, and industry is crucial. Additionally, digitizing our operations will significantly improve efficiency. We must also focus on resource mobilization by actively seeking grants, consulting opportunities, and commercializing our research outputs.
The University farms should aim to produce sufficient food to not only meet the needs of our community but also to sell surplus to neighboring areas.
Furthermore, the division should contribute to the University’s internationalization efforts by collaborating with global partners. Strengthening community outreach and technology transfer initiatives will be essential to achieve this goal.
