Revolutionizing Construction Estimating: ConstructConnect’s AI Tool on Google Cloud

ConstructConnect Unveils AI-Enhanced Takeoff Boost on Google Cloud to Revolutionize Construction Estimating

CINCINNATI — ConstructConnect has launched Takeoff Boost, a cutting-edge AI-powered takeoff service developed on Google Cloud. This innovative tool aims to enhance efficiency and precision in construction estimating processes.

Announced on April 22 at Cloud Next ’26 in Las Vegas, Takeoff Boost is engineered to automate the often labor-intensive takeoff process. This crucial step involves identifying and quantifying the materials necessary for construction projects, ensuring accurate bidding, procurement, and budgeting.

With Takeoff Boost, estimators, contractors, and material suppliers can swiftly analyze digital plan sets. The service automatically classifies, detects, and measures areas, lengths, and objects, minimizing the need for manual tracing and repetitive tasks. This shift allows users to concentrate on strategic analysis and thorough bid preparation.

“Estimating is where margins are won or lost. Takeoff Boost is designed to reclaim that time. You upload the plan set, and in mere seconds, you receive structured, reliable measurements that estimators can rely on,” explained Gaurav Singal, EVP and Chief Technology Officer at ConstructConnect. “Google Cloud provides the performance and scalability necessary to consistently deliver this experience to our users.”

Engineered for Speed, Reliability, and Scalability

Takeoff Boost operates entirely on Google Cloud infrastructure, utilizing the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform and Cloud Run, supported by NVIDIA GPUs. This architecture enables the swift processing of intricate, multi-sheet plan sets within seconds, achieving high throughput and minimal latency.

Cloud-based storage solutions offer the scalability and security required to manage substantial project data while ensuring dependable outputs. ConstructConnect highlights that this framework supports rapid iterations and the deployment of new AI capabilities as demand increases.

“Customers aren’t just investing in AI; they’re investing in the outcomes it generates. ConstructConnect leverages Gemini Enterprise and GPU-supported infrastructure to provide quantifiable benefits for contractors and estimators, with the speed and reliability essential for production workflows,” commented Praveen Rao, Global Director of Manufacturing at Google Cloud.

Transforming Construction Estimating Workflows

The launch of Takeoff Boost symbolizes a wider initiative within the construction sector to modernize preconstruction processes through artificial intelligence. This platform allows users to seamlessly integrate AI-driven outputs into their existing workflows without necessitating significant operational changes.

Key advantages of Takeoff Boost, as noted by ConstructConnect, include decreased manual takeoff time, enhanced bid confidence through consistent outputs, quicker processing of complex plans, and scalable implementation across teams via secure cloud infrastructure.

The solution has already seen notable adoption among interior trades and general contractors, indicating potential for broader expansion within North America’s estimating market.

“Preconstruction has always been critical in determining project success, and estimators have faced challenges using outdated tools. Takeoff Boost addresses this issue,” stated Jennifer Johnson, EVP and Chief Product Officer at ConstructConnect. “By automating the most labor-intensive components of the takeoff process, we’re allowing estimators to reclaim valuable hours and focus on what truly provides competitive advantage—scope expertise, risk assessment, and strategy.”

ConstructConnect emphasized that Takeoff Boost is the culmination of several years of investment in artificial intelligence, backed by a team of over 200 engineers, data scientists, and product experts. The AI-first strategy includes a wealth of proprietary code and machine learning models integrated throughout the platform.

The solution is currently offered through OnScreen Takeoff, with integration into PlanSwift anticipated soon.

This announcement was initially reported by CONSTRUCTCONNECT in Construction Dive.
