Roblox has exciting news for its users: on April 30, the company will roll out a new subscription service called ‘Roblox Plus.’ Priced at $4.99 per month, this service aims to enhance user experience by offering discounts on in-game items and avatar purchases, along with various exclusive benefits.
With Roblox Plus, the company intends to create additional revenue avenues for creators. Roblox will absorb the cost of the discounts extended to subscribers, allowing users to purchase more items without impacting creators’ existing earnings. This approach encourages subscriber spending and supports the creators’ financial stability.
Enrico D’Angelo, Vice President of Economy at Roblox, expressed his thoughts on the initiative: “We are committed to offering greater value to our global community. Roblox Plus is tailored for our most dedicated users, empowering creators to expand their earnings as our platform continues to grow. This subscription incentivizes users to maximize their Robux while directly benefiting the creators behind the Roblox ecosystem.”
■ Features of Roblox Plus
□ Discount Benefits: Subscribers enjoy a 10% discount on in-game purchases and avatar items. After maintaining continuous subscriptions for three months or longer, the discount increases to 20%, rewarding loyalty.
□ Private Server Access: Subscribers can access unlimited private servers for any age-appropriate game at no extra cost. They have the freedom to invite friends to join these private sessions, which continues to generate revenue for creators.
□ Free Robux Transfers: Subscribers can transfer Robux to other users without incurring fees. However, users aged 18 and under must obtain parental consent for each transaction, while those 19 and older may need to complete an age verification process prior to transferring Robux.
□ Marketplace Benefits: Subscribers can trade and resell avatar items and showcase their own creations on the Roblox Marketplace.
In addition, subscribers receive an exclusive Roblox Plus badge on their profile. Additional features and benefits will be introduced gradually after the launch. Roblox is also planning to implement an automatic monthly Robux top-up feature, allowing users to streamline their subscription and regular Robux purchases into a single payment.

This ensures that creators receive consistent revenue from purchases while encouraging subscribers to explore a broader range of items and services, thereby potentially enhancing overall earnings.
□ Paid Private Servers: Eligible creators will receive rewards based on time spent by Roblox Plus subscribers in their paid private servers.
□ Bonus Robux: Creators can add a new API to their games, letting users subscribe to Roblox Plus directly within the game. For every new subscriber gained through this mechanism, Roblox will grant creators extra monthly Robux for up to three months.
This initiative is tailored to help creators who are expanding their teams and establishing businesses on the Roblox platform secure a steady source of income.
With the launch of Roblox Plus, Roblox will cease to offer new subscriptions to Roblox Premium. Existing Premium users can continue their memberships, and a one-month trial of Roblox Plus will be added to their current subscription period. Additionally, starting from May 30, some Premium benefits, including the 10% bonus on Robux purchases and the Premium profile badge, will be discontinued.

□ Development Support: Through Procedural Model Generation, creators can produce scalable objects that naturally integrate with their environment. For instance, when adjusting an AI-generated bookshelf, the AI can intelligently add or rearrange books and shelves to fit the new dimensions, simplifying the editing process. □ Testing Support: New AI playtesting agents will evaluate code and data, using avatars to simulate players and effectively ensure that the game operates as intended by developers.
