These trending diets focused on extreme optimization are reshaping eating habits and influencing product offerings from various companies. However, the question remains: Are these practices actually beneficial for health?

The idea of “proteinmaxxing” suggests that consuming higher amounts of protein is advantageous. This essential macronutrient, found in foods such as nuts, meat, and dairy, plays a crucial role in many bodily functions, including tissue repair and boosting immune function.
On the other hand, dietary fiber is poised to become the go-to trend for 2026. Advocates claim that increasing fiber intake can help control appetite and improve regularity, often showcasing bowls of chia seeds and oats in their posts.

Meanwhile, brands like PepsiCo and Nestlé, along with newer companies such as the beverage maker Olipop, are emphasizing the fiber content in their prebiotic sodas and snacks.
