Get Ready for the 3rd Annual Mott Miles Challenge: A Community Fitness Event
Mark your calendars for April 18, 2026! The Crim Fitness Foundation and Mott Community College invite you to participate in the 3rd Annual Mott Miles Challenge: Run with the Bears. This exciting event is designed for participants of all fitness levels, offering a unique opportunity to engage with your community while getting active.
What to Expect
Participants will have a generous three-hour window, from 9 a.m. to noon, to run or walk as many 1-mile loops as they wish on a closed course surrounding the picturesque Mott Community College campus.
Every participant will receive a custom long-sleeved technical shirt and a 4-inch finisher medal to commemorate their effort. The atmosphere will be festive, with refreshments, live music, and enthusiastic cheerleaders at the finish line to celebrate your accomplishments.
Awards and Challenges
The Mott Miles Challenge has various awards up for grabs! Recognitions will be given for the fastest loop completed, and for those who reach 3, 5, and 10 miles in the shortest time. Additionally, for those ready to take on the ultimate test, there will be a cash prize for anyone who can complete 26 loops in under 3 hours, achieving the prestigious “Mott Marathon” status. Last year, local runners Parker Austin and Jordann Jennings took home this honor, and this year it could be you!
Scholarships and Inclusivity
The Bruin Club of Genesee County has generously provided 100 scholarships to cover entry fees for Mott Community College students, faculty, and staff. If you’re interested in participating, registration is available online at crimraces.org.
Brandon Morgan, Crim’s Director of External Relations, emphasized the community spirit of the event: “Mott Community College and the Bruin Club of Genesee County are exceptional partners, helping us create an event that welcomes participants of all backgrounds.” He added that whether you’re walking your first mile or aiming to complete over 20 loops, everyone shares in a collective sense of achievement.
