Hopkinsville, KY — Crews from the Hopkinsville Fire Department responded to an accident late Tuesday night when a car crashed into a building around 9:31 p.m. Firefighters and EMS personnel discovered that a vehicle had left the roadway and driven through the wall of a nearby business.
The driver, who managed to exit through the sunroof before first responders arrived, was evaluated by EMS and transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The collision caused significant damage to the building, necessitating the shutdown of utilities and the evacuation of the premises while crews assessed safety.
The Hopkinsville Police are currently investigating the incident.
