El Tigre Coffee Roasters is finally opening its brick-and-mortar location in Austin on Friday, September 25, at 2909 E. 12th St., after a prolonged wait for city approvals. Originally starting as a stylish coffee trailer in 2019, the establishment has enjoyed success in San Antonio and is now making a long-awaited transition.
Tatanka Guerrero, the owner, explained that the new shop has been ready for a year and a half, just waiting on necessary paperwork from the city. The new location will be part of a small compound alongside other businesses, creating a community vibe. The cozy, 520-square-foot bungalow will focus on great coffee, with a simple menu featuring a signature latte, Mexican drip coffee with cinnamon, and more, alongside light food options like pastries and tacos.
With indoor and outdoor seating, El Tigre aims to be a warm and inviting space for coffee lovers, operating daily from 7 am to 3 pm. Although they’ll no longer have a physical presence in San Antonio, El Tigre plans to continue pop-ups and collaborations in the area.
