Bayt Qatar Opens in Nagoya for Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games
Bayt Qatar (Qatar House) has officially opened its doors in Nagoya, poised to celebrate the upcoming Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games. This venue, situated within the TIAD Nagoya hotel, will operate until October 4, showcasing an engaging display of Qatari culture, heritage, and sporting accomplishments.
Visitors can explore traditional Qatari crafts, Arabic calligraphy, and warm hospitality, along with interactive digital experiences that spotlight Qatar’s sporting and tourism landmarks. The exhibition also chronicles Qatar’s sporting evolution since the 2006 Asian Games in Doha and outlines its ambitions of hosting significant future events, such as the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup and the 2030 Asian Games.
Jassim Al Buenain, Secretary-General of the Qatar Olympic Committee, emphasized the importance of Qatar House in promoting the nation’s cultural and sporting heritage while fostering connections across Asia. He noted that this initiative showcases Qatar’s expertise in organizing large-scale international sporting events, reinforcing its readiness to welcome Asian athletes in 2030. Al Buenain also highlighted the confidence placed in Qatar’s organizational abilities through its sustained hosting of major events.
