The Division aims to align itself with the University’s vision to be “A University of Global Excellence in Research and Innovation for Sustainable Development.” To realize this, we envision a Research, Production, and Extension (RPE) division equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and staffed by experienced, motivated researchers and managers.
To enhance our research capabilities, we must prioritize multidisciplinary and multi-institutional collaborations. Strengthening connections between innovators and researchers with industry will be crucial. Additionally, digitizing our activities and processes will significantly improve our operational efficiency. We also need to enhance resource mobilization by proactively writing grant proposals, bidding for consultancies, and focusing on the commercialization of research and innovation outcomes.
Moreover, the University farms should aim to produce sufficient food to nourish our campus community and sell surplus to surrounding areas.
Lastly, our division should play a pivotal role in the University’s internationalization efforts by fostering collaborations with global organizations. Community outreach and technology transfer initiatives will be bolstered through a variety of activities.
