Pretty Little Things Haul – Thirteen Thoughts

Welcome to my latest haul, which might just be the most eclectic one yet! Here, you’ll find a delightful mix of makeup, candles, jewelry, and various “pretty things”.

Having fallen in love with Maybelline’s Lash Sensational Mascara, I decided to explore a few more mascaras from the same brand. I’ll admit, the eye-catching packaging played a significant role in my choices. I’m eager to see how these perform.

I’m also repurchasing Baby Lips balms. I had a few before but somehow misplaced them, so I decided to stock up again. At this time of year, my lips require extra care.

I had been searching for a clear acrylic tape dispenser for some time. After reading negative reviews about a Kate Spade option I admired, I found a similar one on Amazon for just $10.00. The Kantek Acrylic Tape Dispenser works wonderfully and feels sturdy, not flimsy. However, I was disappointed to discover a large blue logo on the corner, which wasn’t visible in the product images. Thankfully, a little acetone polish remover did the trick, and now it’s logo-free.

Bath and Body Works candles are among my favorites, and I have a personal rule: I never buy them at full price. I always wait for 20% off coupons in the mail and usually make my purchases during sales, which occur frequently. For this haul, I wanted to try some new fragrances, so I picked up Cranberry Woods and Sweater Weather. The rest were familiar and favorites: Winter, Mahogany Teakwood, Eucalyptus Spearmint, and Fireside.

One candle that I always keep in my bathroom is the “Stress Relief” option. I burn it when I’m taking a bath or painting my nails.

Currently, I’m enjoying the warmth of the “Fireside” candle in my living room. Its cozy scent is perfectly suited for this season. Interestingly, this year marks the first time I’ve put up our Christmas tree so early (on November 30th!). Traditionally, I wait until Christmas Eve, like I did growing up, but I simply couldn’t resist this time. It all happened spontaneously; I woke up one Sunday morning with a cup of tea, and before I knew it, I was decorating the tree.

I also picked up some pocket hand sanitizers from Bath & Body Works ($5.00 for a pack of 5). I needed a little something to qualify for free shipping, but they’re always useful (pun intended!) and smell delightful! I wouldn’t use these around kids, though; they might be tempted to drink them!

This favorite candle of mine, which I’ve mentioned numerous times on the blog, is still a go-to. I usually find it at HomeGoods for half the price.

Another HomeGoods gem is this “Romantic” candle from Scentsational. I adore their candles and they rank among my favorites. If I leave Marshall’s or HomeGoods, there’s a good chance I have one of their candles with me (rest assured, I pay for them! :D).

Another lovely find from HomeGoods is Pecksniff’s “Rose & Peony”.

These lovely tea light holders from H&M were quite the challenge to find! They come in gold or silver in a two-pack for $5.95. The gold ones sell out within minutes of becoming available. I diligently checked H&M’s website multiple times a day for a week until I finally secured these. I ordered two packs, but only received one due to the sudden sell-out notification after my purchase. Nevertheless, I’ll definitely try to grab more, as they are simply stunning! Lightweight and delicate, they could also serve as charming jewelry storage.

I also picked up a selection of rings from H&M, particularly enjoying the dainty gold-toned midi rings.

In conclusion, this random collection of goodies truly brightens my days. From beauty essentials to soothing scents and charming decor, each item holds a special place in my heart. Thank you for joining me on this delightful haul!
