Vibe Coding Is Outdated Now

This newsletter caters to those curious about technology, offering updates, tool reviews, and insights from a passionate founder-turned-investor and lifelong tinkerer.

Hello everyone,

Karpathy recently discussed his first year of vibe-coding and expressed a desire for a more suitable term. He proposed “agentic engineering,” which I find preferable as it carries a less negative implication than the notion of “not doing real work.” This concept of engineering spans from beginners to seasoned professionals.

In this vein, I’m launching a new community

You might have noticed various posts featuring individuals creating apps and automations—or even full-fledged products—without writing a single line of code. You know you should join in on this too.

While I may not be able to code, I do build. I previously sold a no-code community to Zapier, struggled with traditional coding learning methods, and now I develop software using AI agents.

This community is designed for people like us—explorers on a journey to figure things out together. It’s not just another Discord server filled with expert engineers.

Join us and learn how to build with agents!

Claude launched a Super Bowl campaign to take a jab at other ads in ChatGPT (without actually naming them), which has ruffled feathers at OpenAI, particularly with Sam Altman and CMO Kate Rouch. They even had ChatGPT generate lengthy posts calling Anthropic out, claiming: ChatGPT has more free users in Texas than Claude has in total. Ouch. Do they have a valid concern? Absolutely. Do they come off as whiny? Quite possibly.

This behavior seems atypical for Claude. However, it seems that in today’s world, attracting attention is paramount.

Claude Code has introduced the new command /insights. This command analyzes your past month’s activities, projects, and Claude Code usage, providing valuable suggestions to enhance your workflow. Additionally, you can now grant CC’s VS Code extension access to your browser through Claude in Chrome.

Mistral has unveiled a new lineup of Voxtral models. The Voxtral Realtime model is designed for live applications with adjustable latency ranging down to 240ms (and open-weights). Voxtral Mini Transcribe 2 caters to asynchronous workloads, achieving high accuracy across multiple languages at a low cost.
