9 Foods I Avoid to Look 30 Years Younger

Edson Claims Accusations of Cheating but Trusts Simple Principles – Including One Morning Food

Edson Brandao, a man who claims to appear 30 years younger than his true age, often faces accusations of relying on Botox, fillers, or cosmetic surgery. However, he asserts that he has never resorted to any of these procedures. Instead, Edson believes that the truth is simpler than most think, and that anyone can achieve similar results.

Edson states, “I’ve never had plastic surgery or Botox. What I have is consistency. Anyone can do this.” As an author, influencer, and owner of a digital marketing firm, he has garnered a faithful following on social media by encouraging people to take control of their health, regardless of age.

In his younger years, Edson did not prioritize his health. This changed when he turned 40. “I realized that aging doesn’t happen overnight. It is developed through daily habits,” he explains. “I knew that if I didn’t start caring for myself, I would pay for it later.”

Committed to a daily regimen, Edson has adhered to the same routine for 18 years and will soon turn 59. For him, exercising is non-negotiable; he works out at the gym every day, balancing weight training with cardiovascular activities.

“It’s not about extremes,” he emphasizes. “It’s about consistency.”

He believes that strength training has helped him maintain a youthful appearance, vibrant energy, and a strong posture. Cardiovascular workouts, according to him, support heart health and mental clarity. “Your body responds to what you demand from it,” he states. “If you stop asking it to move, it simply won’t.”

Edson is equally discerning about his dietary choices. He openly shares the foods he avoids, not to criticize others but to highlight the significant impact diet has on aging from within. His personal “avoid list” includes white bread, sugary cereals, fried foods, fast-food meals, processed cheese, sweets, chocolates, sugary drinks, and heavily processed snacks.

“These foods sap your vitality and hasten aging,” he explains. “People desire a youthful appearance, yet few are willing to alter their eating habits.”

Instead, Edson opts for whole foods and fruits, regularly rotating options like avocado, papaya, figs, berries, oranges, strawberries, blackberries, and dragon fruit, depending on seasonality. “Forget Botox. I consume fruit,” he asserts.

He views food as medicine rather than a problem to be fixed later with pills. “You don’t need supplements to remedy a poor diet,” he clarifies. “What you need is better nutrition.”

His diet includes garlic for inflammation, blueberries for cognitive function, wild salmon for heart health, turmeric for cellular calm, raw honey for immunity, grass-fed liver for nutrients, and pasture-raised eggs as staples.

Keeping his skincare routine straightforward, one of Edson’s favorite practices involves using frozen cucumber on his face daily. “It reduces puffiness and revitalizes the skin,” he claims. “It’s cost-effective, natural, and yields results.”

He believes that many overlook simple and budget-friendly solutions, assuming that youthfulness can only be achieved through high-end products or treatments. Edson also shares dietary choices that may boost metabolism and diminish stubborn belly fat. Among these are Greek yogurt, broccoli, oatmeal, salmon, berries, green tea, olive oil, almonds, avocado, eggs, beans, spinach, quinoa, asparagus, legumes, black coffee, apple cider vinegar, lemon, and cayenne peppers.

“This is about nourishment, not punishment,” he emphasizes. Edson attributes his youthful appearance and energy to what he describes as “boring yet effective habits.”

He avoids certain habits to protect his skin and overall wellness; these include sleeping on his back to prevent facial creases, using mouth tape to encourage nasal breathing, dry brushing before showers, and maintaining hydration with electrolyte water. He ensures adequate fiber intake for gut health, takes magnesium glycinate in the evening for better sleep, monitors his protein intake for muscle maintenance, and chooses silk pillowcases to care for his skin.

Daily journaling and practicing gratitude help him manage stress levels. “A calm mind nurtures a younger body,” he asserts.

“Stress can accelerate aging faster than time,” he observes. One morning ritual Edson never skips is having ginger.

“It boosts energy, enhances clarity, and aids digestion,” he notes. “This sets a positive tone for the day.” As 2026 unfolds, Edson aspires to inspire others to re-evaluate their perspectives on aging.

“This isn’t about trying to appear younger than others,” he clarifies. “It’s about feeling robust, assured, and vibrant at any age.”

He firmly believes that it’s never too late to change one’s course. “The number on your birth certificate does not dictate your future,” Edson remarks. “Your habits do.”

For numerous followers, this message has sparked transformative changes. Edson finds equal importance in motivating others as he does in maintaining his youthful appearance. “If I can show people what’s possible, then each passing year becomes a cause for celebration,” he concludes.

Originating from Teresina in Piauí, Brazil, Edson actively shares insights on fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle on a daily basis, much to the amazement of his followers, who often comment that he appears to be in his twenties.
