Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and Animal Care and Control are partnering once again for a unique fundraiser aimed at helping homeless animals find loving homes. Their annual calendar features firefighters, EMTs, and adoptable animals, with proceeds benefiting local animal welfare initiatives.
Last year’s effort raised $10,000, with all dogs included in the calendar finding homes. This year, organizers hope to double that amount. The kickoff event is set for Sunday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Renegades in West Palm Beach. Attendees can meet firefighters, learn about adoptable pets, and vote on which firefighter-animal pairs will feature in the calendar.
The event aims not only to raise funds but also to spotlight the need for pet adoption and foster care, highlighting the many animals seeking second chances. WPTV reporter Christy Waite will emcee the event, announcing the selected duos for the calendar.
