Fill the Van 2026 Campaign
This October, SeaMonkey Apparel is excited to announce the return of its Fill the Van campaign for a third year, aiming to support animal welfare organizations in Manatee and Sarasota counties. The campaign encourages community involvement by collecting pet food and supplies to benefit local animals.
Key Achievements
- Last year’s efforts resulted in over 3,200 pounds of pet food and supplies collected.
- The combined total for the first two years exceeded 4,100 pounds.
How It Started
Originally launched in 2024 to help restock the Pet Food Pantry at Manatee County Animal Welfare, Fill the Van has grown into a broader initiative that allows community members to contribute essential supplies while supporting local animal care.
Expanded Reach
For 2026, there are more than 15 Food and Supply Donation Stations at participating restaurants and retail businesses, more than double the number from last year. This makes it easier for individuals to donate while running errands or enjoying a meal.
Beneficiaries
This year, the campaign supports:
- Humane Society of Manatee County
- Friends of Manatee County Animal Welfare
- Humane Society of Sarasota County
These organizations focus not only on collecting supplies but also on supporting community initiatives such as food pantries for pets.
Donation Guidelines
- Donors are encouraged to check the current needs list before making contributions.
- Acceptable donations include various brands of dog and cat food, dog treats, cat toys, and other essential items.
- Ensure that donated items are unopened, in original packaging, and within their expiration dates.
Additional Ways to Help
- DOGPerfect is running a round-up program in-store throughout October.
- SeaMonkey Apparel will donate 15% of proceeds from new campaign designs and 5% from all other designs sold during the month.
Partner Support
Local businesses, including Swordfish Grill, Cortez Cares, and Cox Chevrolet, are also supporting the campaign, enhancing the outreach and effectiveness of the initiative.
