Florida Author Releases Children’s Book Inspired by RV Adventures
ORLANDO, Fla. — Jeff Evans, a Tampa Bay-area author, has turned seven years of RV travel with his family into a delightful children’s picture-book series. His latest release, Bella & Mandy’s RV Adventures: Off We Go!, hit the shelves on October 6.
The story centers around two dogs, Bella and Mandy, who approach adventure very differently. Bella is enthusiastic and eager to explore, whereas Mandy is more hesitant and prefers the comfort of familiar surroundings. As their family transitions to life on the road in an RV, the dogs travel across America, tackling themes of change, friendship, and the courage to try new things despite fears.
“Adventure isn’t about being fearless,” Evans explains. “It’s about being curious enough and brave enough to take the next step.”
The characters are based on Evans’ own dogs—Bella, a Cavapoo, and Mandy, a Maltipoo. Together with his wife, Cathy, they spent seven meaningful years traveling with them.
The 46-page book, illustrated by Mohamed Daamouche, is aimed at children aged 3 to 8 and is available in various formats: paperback for $14.99, hardcover for $24.99, and as an e-book for $4.99.
Evans hints at future installments that will take Bella and Mandy to new destinations while addressing themes like resilience, problem-solving, and adapting to change.
