Central Oregon shoppers can support local shelter animals this month by participating in the “Howl-O-Ween” pet food drive at Fred Meyer stores. Collection bins are set up for pet food, toys, and other supplies, encouraging shoppers to pick up extra items from the pet food aisle.
Tiffany Sanders, a spokesperson for Fred Meyer, emphasized the importance of helping animals in need, stating, “Most of us have a pet at some point in our lives, and we know the love they bring. This is a great way for everyone to share that love.”
Donations at the Bend Fred Meyer will benefit Brightside Animal Center in Redmond, while supplies collected at the Redmond location will go to the Humane Society of the Ochocos in Prineville.
