Robby Hoffman is set to return to Netflix with a new stand-up comedy special premiering in 2027. This special will be her second hour on the platform, following “Robby Hoffman: Wake Up,” which was directed by John Mulaney and released in 2025.
Hoffman has gained recognition for her unique comedic style, drawing comparisons to a young, queer Larry David. John Mulaney praised her stage presence, likening it to that of James Brown. In 2025, she was also named one of Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch.
In addition to her stand-up career, Hoffman starred as Randi in the last two seasons of HBO’s “Hacks,” earning an Emmy nomination for her performance. She also appears in the HBO comedy “Rooster” and the FX limited series “Dying for Sex.” Furthermore, she is developing a new series titled “UnEntitled,” which she is writing, producing, and starring in.
Her previous appearances on Netflix include the sitcom “Workin’ Moms” and Mulaney’s live talk show. Hoffman’s upcoming special will be produced by Rotten Science, the same production house behind recent projects like Michael Che’s Netflix special.
