Since its premiere last year, The Celebrity Traitors has captivated audiences with an impressive lineup of contestants, featuring award-winning actors, top musicians, and popular comedians from the UK.
A-list celebrities are already expressing interest in future seasons. Recently, Andrew Garfield mentioned to Digital Spy his enthusiasm for joining the show, despite his reservations about the challenges it presents. “I would love to do it,” he shared, acknowledging the intensity and duration of the experience.
In contrast, Matt Smith, known for Doctor Who and House of the Dragon, expressed a desire to play the role of a Traitor, claiming it to be the “funner part.”
Earlier this year, the BBC announced that it had renewed both the standard and celebrity versions of The Traitors until at least 2030. This guarantees viewers several more star-studded iterations of the award-winning reality show.
While many celebrities are eager to join, some have opted out. Notable rejections include Ricky Gervais, who expressed concerns about the increased scrutiny of well-known names, and Anna Maxwell Martin, who simply prefers to be in bed by 8 PM.
