Rockstar Energy Open Returns to Breckenridge
Dates: December 18-20, 2026
Location: Breckenridge, Colorado
Course Design: Charles Beckinsale and Snowpark Tech
The Rockstar Energy Open will make its way back to Breckenridge for a second consecutive year, promising an exciting “park style” setup instead of a traditional slopestyle course. This setup is designed to give riders the freedom to explore their own lines, leading to innovative tricks like sloth rolls and massive stalefish grabs, as well as thrilling performances from big mountain riders.
Last year’s event garnered praise and was even dubbed the “Pro’s Favorite Event” by Snowboard Magazine. High-profile riders like Mikey Ciccarelli, Torstein Horgmo, and Red Gerard are expected to showcase their skills during the event, which coincides with Breckenridge’s Ullr festival, ensuring a vibrant atmosphere filled with live music and festivities.
Rockstar’s Steve Mateus emphasized the goal of raising the bar from the inaugural year, advocating for a freer contest style that showcases riders’ creativity.
