The Saint Louis Zoo is inviting the community to participate in its Beloved Animals Ofrenda, a tribute to both Zoo animals and pets that have passed away. Decorated with marigolds and sugar skulls, the Ofrenda is part of the celebrations for Día de los Muertos, with submissions open until October 10. Selected photos will be displayed starting October 30 in The Living World building at the Zoo’s North Entrance and will remain until November 2.
A free Día de los Muertos celebration will take place on November 1, featuring traditional foods, cultural activities, and live performances.
For more details or to share photos of late pets, visit the Zoo’s website: stlzoo.org/animalsofrenda.
