When I was combing through all the looks from the SS26 runways back in September, there was one particular item that kept catching my eye. Mainly because it felt fresh, exciting, and most importantly, wearable. Whether it was on the runway at Chanel or Tory Burch, I immediately thought, I cannot wait to wear this! I’m talking about low-rise skirts.
With low-rise pants having made its way back on the fashion map for the last few seasons, it was just a matter of time that hip-grazing skirts found their way to the spotlight. And while the style is a guaranteed Gen-Z hit, it goes without saying that spring/summer 2026’s version of the low-rise looks undeniably grown up.

At Tory Burch, a whole host of low-slung tailored skirts were paired with preppy knit polos, feminine pumps, and ladylike top-handle bags, adding a polished touch to the silhouette. At Chanel, low-slung midi-length skirts came in elegant tweed fabrics accented with a belt and worn over what can only be described as high-waisted undergarments (hey, where Mathieu Blazy goes, we follow). Plenty more drop-waist styles were spotted at Tove, Mugler, Toga, and Meryll Roge to name but a few designers backing the fresh trend.
When it comes to styling the skirt this season, opt for polished pieces to tie the look together. A knit top and chic pumps are an easy way to wear the look from day-to-night. Keep scrolling to see and shop our favorite styles you can buy now.
