Chris Colfer recently discussed how fans of Glee overstepped boundaries concerning his personal life. He noted that many fans desired him to date co-star Darren Criss, leading to uncomfortable situations where fans would write fan fiction about his actual relationships. Colfer mentioned that he couldn’t be photographed with anyone without sparking fan fiction about them.
Despite enjoying the creativity of fan fiction, he found it unsettling when aspects of his real life were intertwined in those stories. Colfer expressed that while he was often depicted as a hero in fan fiction, some narratives were quite risqué and jarring for him.
Both Colfer and Criss are now in long-term relationships, having celebrated significant milestones since their Glee days. Colfer hinted at the possibility of reprising his role as Kurt but is still waiting for more information on a potential reboot. Meanwhile, he is set to star in a new film titled The Restoration at Grayson Manor, debuting on October 9.
