Pets of the Week: Adopt a Rat!
Eugene, Ore. – This week, Greenhill Humane Society is featuring a unique adoption opportunity: over 130 rats looking for new homes. These little companions are perfect for starter pets, classroom buddies, or for anyone who loves rodents!
Many of these rats are still adjusting to their shelter environment after coming from unfortunate circumstances. Therefore, they are best suited for rat-savvy owners or those who are knowledgeable and patient in helping socialize these timid creatures.
Why Adopt Rats?
- Social Nature: Rats are social animals and thrive in pairs or groups. If you don’t already have a rat at home, consider adopting a pair!
