Affordable PC Gaming Controller: 8BitDo Ultimate 2C
You don’t need to spend a fortune on an excellent gaming controller. The 8BitDo Ultimate 2C is available for just $29.99, making it one of the best options in its price range. And for Prime Day, Amazon has slashed the price an additional 20% to $23.99. Previously, only the lavender color was discounted, but now you can choose from several colors including transparent black, peach, mint, and green. Personally, I own this controller and highly recommend it for anyone looking for budget-friendly options.
Why Choose the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C?
The Ultimate 2C is packed with premium features that are rare for a wireless controller under $30.
- Quality Feel: The controller is solid and features a grippy matte finish.
- Innovative Switches: It uses magnetic Hall Effect switches for joysticks and triggers, eliminating wear and tear and preventing stick drift. High-end controllers like the PlayStation DualSense Edge and Xbox Elite don’t even offer this.
- Durability: Reinforced metal rings protect the joysticks for extra longevity.
- Customizability: Features extra R4/L4 bumpers that can be remapped without requiring software downloads.
- Enhanced Performance: Includes a Turbo button and immersive rumble feedback.
- Stable Connectivity: Supports Bluetooth and comes with a USB dongle for a reliable 2.4GHz wireless connection with a 1,000Hz polling rate.
Compatibility
The 8BitDo Ultimate 2C works seamlessly with Windows and Steam PCs, as well as various mobile devices via Bluetooth. It’s an ideal match for handheld gaming devices like the Steam Deck, ASUS ROG Ally, and Legion Go.
