HopeWest, a Grand Valley organization dedicated to serving seniors, is seeking certified pet therapy volunteers. These volunteers will visit patients in their homes, care facilities, and nursing homes to provide connection and comfort during difficult times.
To volunteer, individuals must obtain a pet therapy certification and complete a volunteer orientation. Lisa J Case, a pet therapy volunteer, shared that interactions with therapy animals offer patients a much-needed respite from their challenges.
