Israel is set to expand its direct-flight offerings this winter with two unique destinations: Bhutan and Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland.
### Direct Flights to Bhutan
Kaminos, a tour operator, announced five organized-tour departures to Bhutan from February to mid-March 2027, utilizing direct flights operated by Drukair. The flights will be on Airbus A320 aircraft, taking approximately seven hours and accommodating around 110 passengers to maintain comfort on the long journey. Tour groups will be limited to 16 travelers.
Bhutan follows a controlled tourism policy requiring foreign visitors to pay a daily tourism fee of $100. This fee, alongside the visa, is included in the tour package, which is priced at $5,395 per person (double occupancy). The tours last eight days and feature accommodations in five-star hotels.
### Flights to Rovaniemi, Lapland
Separately, Kishrey Teufa will resume direct charter flights to Rovaniemi, starting January 27, 2027. Packages will include organized tours featuring activities such as Northern Lights viewing, sled rides, and snowmobile trips. Some itineraries will also incorporate Oulu in northern Finland, with prices starting around €3,430 per person for a six-day tour and other options available.
Both projects aim to enhance accessibility to these distinctive travel destinations, promising unique experiences for travelers.
