This Fortnite gamer draws inspiration from MrBeast to assist others in managing the steep expenses of professional gaming.

Cody Conrod, known as Clix, has transformed his experience in the competitive gaming landscape into a mission to help aspiring gamers facing financial challenges. At just 21, the successful Fortnite player, with over 8 million followers on Twitch, is now channeling his efforts through the Dr3amin Access Fund, a new initiative under his holding company, Full Box Inc.

After dropping out of school in eighth grade to pursue esports, Conrod recalls the early struggles he faced with inadequate gaming equipment. To address the increasing barriers to entry in pro gaming, where high-quality PCs are becoming increasingly expensive, Conrod’s fund seeks to provide access to essential gaming hardware.

Historically, the gaming industry has faced criticism for its lack of supportive infrastructure for budding talent. By offering financial assistance for gaming setups, Conrod hopes more parents will support their children’s aspirations in gaming. His own journey—from using a low-end computer to earning significant prize money—illustrates the potential inherent in competitive gaming.

The Dr3amin Access Fund will be supported partially through his clothing brand and donations from other companies. With previous success in charity giveaways, Conrod aims to make a tangible difference for amateur gamers, fostering a more accessible environment in the world of esports. His mission is amplified by inspiring stories of others he has helped, motivating him to continue giving back.
