CenterPoint Energy has recently changed ownership and will now operate under the name National Fuel Gas Distribution of Ohio, following its acquisition by the New York-based National Fuel Gas Company, effective October 1. This new entity will serve around 335,000 customers across 16 counties in the Dayton and greater Miami Valley area.
Michael D. Colpoys, President of National Fuel Gas Distribution Corp., expressed enthusiasm about welcoming the new customers, assuring them that service will remain uninterrupted and that they will maintain the same high-quality service that National Fuel is known for. This acquisition will increase National Fuel’s customer base to 1.1 million and involve the integration of 200 employees.
Customers can expect the following:
– Uninterrupted natural gas service.
– No immediate actions required from them.
– Existing billing cycles and payment methods will remain unchanged.
– Current online account access will continue temporarily.
– Advance notice of any service-related changes in the future.
